11th Conference of the Association for the Study of Language Acquisition (AEAL) and 3rd Conference of the Spanish-speaking Association for the Study of Specific Language Impairment (CHITEL)

It took place in Seville from September 3 to 5, 2025, together with the Spanish-speaking Association for the Study of Language Disorder (AHITL).

• Susan Ebbels (Moor House Research and Training Institute, Reino Unido). “Vocabulary and morphosyntax interventions for children with developmental language disorder” 

During the congress, the exhibition of the research and cultural memory project “Women Who Give the Word” was presented. Women Who Give the Word is part of a project on the history of speech therapy. It is the result of the interdisciplinary work of female speech therapists, linguists, psychologists, and philosophers who, since the 2018–2019 academic year, have been conducting interviews with women who have dedicated themselves to the profession of speech therapy in our country. The project has a cultural and educational purpose. Its main goal is to highlight the profile and professional career of the women who initiated speech therapy in Spain.
